Terms of Use
Last updated: July 17, 2026
By using Dorchester County Speaks and submitting feedback, you agree to these terms. This is an independent, resident-run platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Dorchester County government.
Submitting feedback
Please share your own honest experiences, concerns, and ideas. By submitting, you confirm that what you share is truthful to the best of your knowledge and is your own — not copied from someone else, and not submitted in another person's name without their knowledge.
Keep submissions respectful and lawful. Do not submit anything false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, or obscene, and do not include private or personal information about other people without their consent.
Your content, and how we use it
You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting, you give Dorchester County Speaks permission to store your feedback and to aggregate and summarize it — combining it with other residents' input into themes, counts, and trends — which we may share publicly or bring to local officials. When we present trends, we do not attach your name or contact details unless you have explicitly given permission to be contacted or identified.
Review and removal
We review submissions before anything is acted on or shared. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to decline, edit for clarity, or remove any submission — for example, content that is off-topic, abusive, or appears false or fraudulent.
No guarantees
Dorchester County Speaks is a volunteer, community effort. We make no promise or guarantee that submitting feedback will lead to any particular response, decision, or action by Dorchester County government or any official.
No warranty; limitation of liability
This site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dorchester County Speaks and its organizers are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or your reliance on any content on it. This is not an emergency service — in an emergency, call 911.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above.
